You have been selected to join the GoTeach program for this year XXXX (2020). The local GoTeach activity plan will be shared with you by the GoTeach coordinators.
What is GoTeach?
It is a partnership between SOS Children’s Villages International / The Teach for All Network and Deutsche Post DHL Group aimed at improving the employability of young people like yourself!
Our skilled employees will volunteer their time, share their skills and expertise, host you, take you on tours and train you. In doing so they will help bring the world of work to life and assist you in setting goals for your future career.
Recommendations:
- Always ask questions. This opportunity is for you to gather information and learn as much as you can and to understand what it is like in a work environment and what happens there.
- As there are rules at home and school there are also rules in a work environment, many of which are there for your safety. Please abide by the rules.
- If you are uncertain about something related to GoTeach – please ask for clarity

GoTeach is one of three focus areas within corporate citizenship, the other two are GoGreen and GoHelp. Corporate citizenship is part of Living Responsibility at Deutsche Post DHL Group and integral to the company's business strategy.
At DPDHL Group our purpose is to - connect people and improve lives.
7.5.5.1.1.4 Who can participate in GoTeach?
- GoTeach with SOS Children’s Villages is aimed at young people aged 15+ and / or the Teach for all Network is aimed at children aged 7+ and the Fellows
- DHL employees who volunteer to participate in GoTeach activities
- SOS Children’s Villages staff and / or Teach for All Network staff
- Other businesses who are able to share what their business is about, affording potential career prospects, exposure to the work environment
7.5.5.1.1.5 What opportunities are available to me as a young person participating in GoTeach?
Opportunities to experience the various DHL Business Units and learn more about logistics as a potential career option. Learn about specific jobs (of interest), learn skills such as job hunting skills, build self-confidence, get to know volunteers and be exposed to the world of work.
