For those countries where the partnership is active for a certain time, looking for strategies to keep them active/involved is a challenge, but at the same time a great opportunity to continue positioning GoTeach as a program.
===How to Reenergize Countries===

There are many ways to reenergize GoTeach countries, in this chapter we will show some of the best practices.

====Relaunch event====
To relaunch the GoTeach program can be a very strong dose of energy for all the involved ones and also a good way to re-engage DHL Country Manager, SMTs, and this also means a re-engagement for our partners (SOS / TfAll Country Managers, Program Coordinators, staff). In this event we're talking about the results and the impacts of the program on young people and on volunteers. They are also good opportunities to renew the Local Agreements and, depending on the date, it can be a space to give support in preparing GoTeach activity plans for the year.

====Celebrations====
====Celebrations====
Celebrations for the 5 or 10 years of the partnership in a country is a way of recognizing the effort that volunteers make and a way of showing the impact through GoTeach activities, as well as the visibility that can be generated inside DHL, also with the Government, customers, suppliers and Partners.

====Regional conferences====
Regional conferences are spaces to share good practices between countries, to engage GoTeach Ambassadors and Coordinators from SOS and TFALL; also they are good opportunities to share achievements and listen to life experiences (testimonials). We can get inputs to co create a global vision of the program. But above all Regional Conferences are spaces for the network to get to know each other and to generate trust to take GoTeach to the next level.

In addition, it is a very good way to motivate people who develop the application or are really involved in the program, as well as the volunteers who participate actively.
In addition, it can inspire those who are already involved locally and those who would like to be - not to mention the volunteers who are already making a contribution.

7.4.1 How to Reenergize Countries

7.4.1.1 Countries with an established partnership relationship

Identifying strategies to keep countries active/involved can be a challenge - but also a great opportunity to continually reposition GoTeach as a program.

There are many ways to reenergize GoTeach countries. This chapter takes a look at some of best practices.

7.4.1.1 Relaunch event

Relaunching the GoTeach program can function as an energy boost for all involved. It's also a great way to re-engage DHL Country Managers and SMTs, not to mention our partners (SOS / TfAll Country Managers, program Coordinators, staff). These events showcase the impact and results the program can have on young people and on volunteers. They are also a good opportunity to renew the local agreements and can also provide a platform to address support requirements when preparing GoTeach activity plans for the year.

7.4.1.2 Annual program launch

Every year both parties start coordinating in the countries, ensuring all information is based on the needs of young people involved. Establishing contact between GoTeach Ambassadors, SOS CV / TfAll Coordinators and young people energizes those involved and encourages a culture of ongoing openness and feedback during the year.

Example:

This year in Africa, GoTeach Regional Managers and Coordinators participated in different kick-off events.

7.4.1.3 Celebrations

Celebrating the 5 or 10 year anniversary of the partnership in a country is not only a way of recognizing the efforts of volunteers but also highlights the impact of GoTeach activities. It can increase visibility both within DHL, and externally among government representatives, customers, suppliers and partners.

These celebrations are an opportunity to showcase the program across different media (social networks, newspapers and newscasts).

7.4.1.4 Visits from regional or global leaders

Occasionally, countries receive visits from leaders from regional or global offices, and take advantage of such opportunities to hold a GoTeach activity or a recognition event. This can play an important role in the ongoing positioning the program, highlighting the impact it has on both young people and volunteers.

The following can provide a useful platform for showcasing GoTeach activities:

  • Town halls – recognizing volunteers and highlighting the impact of the program locally
  • Volunteer activities (with SOS Children’s Villages or Teach for All)
  • Visit to an SOS Children's Village or schools where TfAll Fellows work
  • Press conferences, kick-off or relaunch events

Examples:

  • Frank Appel in Costa Rica, Brazil
  • Monika Schaller in Madagascar
  • Thomas Ogilvie in Colombia
  • Ken Allen in Peru

7.4.1.5 Regional conferences

Regional conferences are great spaces to share good practices between countries, and to engage with GoTeach Ambassadors and Coordinators from SOS and TfALL. They are also good opportunities to share achievements and listen to testimonials. They can also be a great source of input and help shape a global vision for the program. But above all, regional conferences provide the opportunity for the network to get to know each other and build trust - and help take GoTeach to the next level.

Example:

In 2015 regional conferences were held by different regions, setting a great precedent for the program. In Asia, both GoTeach partners (SOS CV and TfALL) were involved.

7.4.1.6 Recognition for the program / awards (local, regional or global)

Giving visibility to the program and recognizing the efforts of those involved around the world is very important. It illustrates how proud we can be of the contribution made by DHL and GoTeach partners in terms of social responsibility, and the direct impact these activities have on the reputation of the brand, both externally and internally.

In addition, it can inspire those who are already involved locally and those who would like to be - not to mention the volunteers who are already making a contribution.

Examples:

  • CODESPA Award in 2019
  • UN Award in 2019
  • CoRe Awards in 2015
