9.5.1 Communication Background - Partner

9.5.1.1 About SOS Children’s Villages

SOS Children's Villages is the largest non-governmental organisation focused on supporting children without parental care and families at risk. Founded in 1949, the organisation today runs 2,300 programmes reaching more than a million children and adults in 136 countries and territories. We adhere to the principle that every child grows best in a family environment, with loving parents or caregivers, living together with their siblings, in a place they can call home. We work with communities, local partners and authorities to support disadvantaged families to prevent family breakdown. We aim to influence decision-makers to promote the well-being of children, especially of those without parental care. We also help care for and protect at-risk children and families in more than 20 humanitarian emergencies.

9.5.1.2 About Teach for All

Chirlie’s Communications team to provide approval on the below

Teach For All is a global network of over 50 independent, locally led and governed partner organizations and a global organization that works to accelerate the progress of the network. Each network partner recruits and develops promising future leaders to teach in their nations’ under-resourced schools and communities and, with this foundation, to work with others, inside and outside of education, to ensure all children are able to fulfill their potential. Teach For All’s global organization works to increase the network’s impact by capturing and spreading learning, facilitating connections among partners, accessing global resources, and fostering the leadership development of partner staff, teachers, and alumni.
