3.4.1 Accomplishments
Since 2009, GoTeach provides individual guidance and support to participating young people. It meets the individual needs of young people, gets them actively involved, and ensures local ownership with activities planned by local teams. The project offers young people up-close exposure to the culture and working life at DPDHL Group and gives DPDHL Group employees the chance to share their knowledge and skills as mentors. GoTeach supports in motivating these young people, helping them clarify their goals, understanding their strengths, and accompanying them on their way to becoming productive, independent adults.
In 2019 alone, more than 2,000 employees contributed to our GoTeach partnerships – more than 11,000 beneficiaries benefited from the program.
Nothing is more sustainable than investing in the future of young people by fostering their employability in today’s world. That is why our program is sustainable, because through each activity, both the youth and the volunteers engaged have a chance to change and develop, contributing positively to their own development but also to the society.
