For those countries where the partnership is active for a certain time, looking for strategies to keep them active/involved is a challenge, but at the same time a great opportunity to continue positioning GoTeach as a program.
There are many ways to reenergize GoTeach countries, in this chapter we will show some of the best practices.
7.4.1 Relaunching Event
To relaunch the GoTeach program can be a very strong dose of energy for all the involved ones and also a good way to re-engage DHL Country Manager, SMTs, and this also means a re-engagement for our partners (SOS / TfAll Country Managers, Program Coordinators, staff). In this event we're talking about the results and the impacts of the program on young people and on volunteers. They are also good opportunities to renew the Local Agreements and, depending on the date, it can be a space to give support in preparing GoTeach activity plans for the year.
7.4.2 Program start every year
Every year both parties start coordinating in the countries, releasing information according to the needs of young people is very important. Generating a contact between GoTeach Ambassadors, SOS CV / TfAll Coordinators and young people is a dose of energy, feedback and openness to commitments for the year.
Example:
This year in Africa, GoTeach Regional Manager and Coordinator participate in different Kick-Off events.

7.4.3 Celebrations
Celebrations for the 5 or 10 years of the partnership in a country is a way of recognizing the effort that volunteers make and a way of showing the impact through GoTeach activities, as well as the visibility that can be generated inside DHL, also with the Government, customers, suppliers and Partners.
These celebrations are an opportunity to appear in different media (Social Networks, Newspapers and Newscasts).
Examples:
- Celebration 10 years of GoTeach in Madagascar
- Celebration 5 years of GoTeach in Mauritius
- Celebration 5 years of GoTeach in Paraguay
7.4.4 Visit of Regional or global Leaders
Occasionally, countries receive visits from leaders of the regional or global offices and take in advantage those opportunities to generate a GoTeach activity or a recognition event. That is very important to continue positioning the program and give visibility of the impact it has, both in young people and in volunteers.
Some of the spaces to take advantage of or GoTeach encounters that countries can propose for this kind of visits are:
- Town Halls – to recognize volunteers and present the impact of the program locally
- Volunteer activities (with SOS Children’s Village or Teach for All)
- Visit an SOS Children's Villages or schools where TfAll fellows work
- Press conferences, Kick-off or relaunch events
Examples:
- Frank Appel in Costa Rica, Brazil
- Monika Schaller In Madagascar
- Thomas Ogilvie in Colombia
- Ken Allen in Peru
7.4.5 Regional Conferences
Regional conferences are spaces to share good practices between countries, to engage GoTeach Ambassadors and Coordinators from SOS and TFALL; also they are good opportunities to share achievements and listen to life experiences (testimonials). We can get inputs to co create a global vision of the program. But above all Regional Conferences are spaces for the network to get to know each other and to generate trust to take GoTeach to the next level.
Example:
In 2015 different regions had Regional Conferences, which set a great precedent on the program. Something to highlight is that in Asia it was made with both GoTeach partners (SOS CV and TFALL).
7.4.6 Recognition for the program / Awards (local, regional or Global)
Giving visibility to the program and participating in recognitions that are granted in different countries is very important since it makes us proud of what DHL and GoTeach partners do in terms of social responsibility. It also has a direct impact on the reputation of the brand externally and internally.
In addition, it is a very good way to motivate people who develop the application or are really involved in the program, as well as the volunteers who participate actively.
Examples:
- CODESPA Award in 2019
- UN Award in 2019
- CoRe Awards in 2015
