Definition: Safeguarding
Child Safeguarding
Codes of conduct ensure the safety of volunteers and young people.

Safeguarding is the action that is taken to promote the welfare of children and protect them from harm. This includes protection from abuse, preventing harm to health, ensuring a safe environment and taking action to enable children and young people have the best outcomes. (NSPCC, 2016) 

Children and young people: Anyone who has not yet reached their 18th birthday or a young person under the age of 30 who is participating in one of our partner programs

Code of Conduct

The aim of a code of conduct is to ensure that all DHL colleagues involved in a GoTeach program or activity understand the importance of protecting the children and young people that we support through the Go Teach program, our colleagues and ourselves
